I’ve been a pattern tester for the Gable top and the Gable dress by Jennifer Lauren Handmade.
The dress has been a huge success, and I keep wearing it since I’ve made it.
I like the style lines, very much inspired by the 1950’s, with slash neckline and long-lined body.
The skirt features deep pleats which look very classy. I like to compliment this dress with a vintage pin which used to belong to my mum. I wear the Gable dress regularly with heels to the office and to meetings, but also during the weekend with flats. It has a lot of styling potential, plus pockets!
The dress is designed for knits, and I’ve used this poly-jersey found in Marché de St. Michel in Bordeaux last June.
I love the bright color and I had a lot of fun having my pictures taken at 104, in Paris (thank you Ettore for the pics, and Francesca for the tips).
Looking at the pictures I think I could have gone down a size, taking into account that this particular knit fabric has a lot of ease.
The heavy weight jersey gives a lot of swooshing factor to the skirt, and it is of course extremely comfortable. Definitely one of my favourite dresses so far!
